Lessons have been learned! Sorry for the (arguably) graphic pics but these are a couple of 16 grey-fly bites I received after my first wild swim. They pinched a bit at the time of the bite which brought my attention to the flies so that I could brush them away however two days later the itching and swelling has started driving me bonkers! So its cream to treat the bites this morning and some Smidge insect repellent to pop in my pack for next time I go out on the moors. So a little warning for you guys if you have not invested in insect repellent for you hiking or camping kit you may want to think about doing so because the last thing you do want is for 6-legged flying fucks to make a meal if you! . . . . . #insectbite #insectbites #insectrepellent #insectbitetreatment #campinghorrorstories #hikinghorrorstory #wildswimming #wildswimminghorrorstory

Modifying the OEX Phoxx II for and all-in-one pitch

Changing the Phoxx series of tents from OEX to make them pitched inner and outer at the same time is easy. It only takes a few minutes of effort, two lengths of cord, a stick and a peg. To show how easy it is to remove a lot of campers’ biggest issue with this tent and thus making it a lot more useful and useable. I had a great time making this video. While playing with angels and shots, trying to get the best lighting. I enjoy making these videos. They are giving me the chance to learn more about filming than I would on the moors. I don't always have the time to spare. Whenever I can, I should learn more about my filming. It makes it far easier in the editing process and if you know me at all; you know I hate editing! The video went live just now over (1st December 2022 at 6pm GMT) on my YouTube channel . I hope you find it both interesting and informative and would love to read your views and o...

#DaveTheDog and his best mate Jack! This is mine and Dave’s first visit to Dartmoor in months, so to celebrate we brought Jack along for his first Dartmoor walkies. It’s been good, but while Dave could go on forever, Jack seems a bit tired and fed up now so we’re taking a break at Roos Tor before carrying on. #dogstagram #dogsofinstagram #dogsondartmoor #dartmoordogs #dartmoorwalks
